The supporters of Atalanta B. C. booed when Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eriberto Loi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, Higinio Ferrando successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 47thth minute of the game Israel Caitano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Racing Club's Higinio Ferrando was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fernando Loreto was the one to do the kick off. C.'s Israel Caitano made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Higinio Ferrando was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Israel Caitano, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 83 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Higinio Ferrando was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Marcos Donio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90thth minute of the game Israel Caitano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Racing Club's Higinio Ferrando was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marcos Donio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Higinio Ferrando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Israel Caitano succeeded in the game's 94th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-0. Atalanta B. C. walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
