Despite this Filomeno Baumar quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Haroldo Senen hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 23rd minute, Fabricio Astigar sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Paternal FC's Primitivo Jorrin didn't even have to move. After having played for 29 minutes, Geronimo Maria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venancio AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geronimo Maria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Geronimo Maria struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Primitivo Jorrin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venancio AFC. With his leg Primitivo Jorrin managed to avoid a goal in the 45thth minute, when Venancio AFC's Geronimo Maria fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Haroldo Senen during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Haroldo Senen hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
