Merlo Futbol Club's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by MalaSuerte FC. After 24 played minutes MalaSuerte FC got a freekick which was hit by Lázaro Efraim. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Humberto Bembe in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Silvano Etxekopar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hugo Oliverio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lázaro Efraim, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Merlo Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Lázaro Efraim came free, but Hugo Oliverio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Humberto Bembe walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. When Humberto Bembe fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Merlo Futbol Club's protests and gave Humberto Bembe a yellow card for diving instead. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jacinto Oso made a kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 60 minutes, Hugo Oliverio successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Segundo Idacio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Segundo Idacio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rdth minute of the game Humberto Bembe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MalaSuerte FC's Silvano Etxekopar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Merlo Futbol Club's zone, Jacinto Oso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hugo Oliverio came out of the goal and Jacinto Oso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Silvano Etxekopar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 93rd minute Humberto Bembe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvano Etxekopar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Although Merlo Futbol Club had been in control for most of the match, MalaSuerte FC still came away with the win.
