Melquiades Ioritz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Orlando Lastur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, GIMNASIA Y ESGRIMA LP's Melquiades Ioritz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Orlando Lastur narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 25th match minute, Cieneguita AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiburcio Cibran to maneuver through the defense. Eusebio Gotzon struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Leonel Duardo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cieneguita AFC. After having played for 43 minutes, Tiburcio Cibran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cieneguita AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiburcio Cibran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. GIMNASIA Y ESGRIMA LP's Leonel Duardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebio Gotzon in the 45th minute of play. When GIMNASIA Y ESGRIMA LP's Melquiades Ioritz in the 48th minute got a chance for a shot 48th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cieneguita AFC's goalie prevented a goal.

GIMNASIA Y ESGRIMA LP's Leonel Duardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebio Gotzon in the 64th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in GIMNASIA Y ESGRIMA LP's zone, Bruno Donzel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonel Duardo came out of the goal and Bruno Donzel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cieneguita AFC's Orlando Lastur proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Cieneguita AFC from getting a goal against them. Leonel Duardo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eusebio Gotzon's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Melquiades Ioritz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Eusebio Gotzon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Leonel Duardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Cieneguita AFC's Orlando Lastur got control of the ball when Enrique Celino tried to sneak it across the goal line. Orlando Lastur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Celino, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. In the 95th minute Maximino Ponc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlando Lastur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Orlando Lastur was a little too slow when Maximino Ponc got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 95th minute. The score was now 0-4. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched GIMNASIA Y ESGRIMA LP eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
