The supporters of Quebrachos FC booed when Trejos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Siro Xabat didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jimeno Bernad took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Humberto Dimas. Humberto Dimas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. A collision led to Quebrachos FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Paolo Fidele hit a great ball. Dionisio Honrio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonides Enekoitz in the 10th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paolo Fidele in the 11th minute of play forced Trejos FC's goalkeeper Dionisio Honrio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dionisio Honrio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christoffer Gjelsten in the 12th minute of play. Lennart Wallgren hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Trejos FC's Jimeno Bernad got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 21 minutes of play, Quebrachos FC's Christoffer Gjelsten made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dionisio Honrio was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Constantino Mirande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the match, Trejos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paolo Fidele came free, but Dionisio Honrio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Trejos FC's Dionisio Honrio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christoffer Gjelsten in the 28th minute of play. Honorio Guter was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 32 minutes into the match. 31 minutes into the game, one of Trejos FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Quebrachos FC a penalty, 35 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Paolo Fidele, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Trejos FC's Dionisio Honrio. 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Trejos FC's zone, Feliberto Emmanuel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dionisio Honrio came out of the goal and Feliberto Emmanuel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dionisio Honrio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonides Enekoitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christoffer Gjelsten stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, Trejos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Siro Xabat to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 57 in the game by Christoffer Gjelsten from a close distance when the talented Dionisio Honrio managed to make a qualified save. Trejos FC's players were relieved. Through an outstanding action, after 59 minutes, Dionisio Honrio successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 61 minutes into the game, Constantino Mirande was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Trejos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quebrachos FC the free kick. Christoffer Gjelsten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Dionisio Honrio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jimeno Bernad hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christoffer Gjelsten in the 76th minute of play forced Trejos FC's goalkeeper Dionisio Honrio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonides Enekoitz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Quebrachos FC's Nicasio Asier was substituted for Christoffer Gjelsten. Paolo Fidele received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dionisio Honrio came out and tried to block the shot, but Paolo Fidele slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 86th minute. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Nicasio Asier took a quick shot and it went in 1-6 without a chance for Dionisio Honrio to make any attempt to save it. 96 minutes into the match, Nicasio Asier dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dionisio Honrio, 1-7. Quebrachos FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
