Messimaradona FC's Oscar Tauro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Messimaradona FC from getting a goal against them. In the 10th minute, Messimaradona FC's Evelio Lucero seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Evelio Lucero the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Messimaradona FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Evelio Lucero had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Dionisio Virila succeeded in the game's 15th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. A hard shot 20 in the game by Dionisio Virila from a close distance when the talented Oscar Tauro managed to make a qualified save. Messimaradona FC's players were relieved. Dionisio Virila did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-0 to the left of a surprised Oscar Tauro 20 minutes into the match. After 23 minutes, Jonathan Daunte mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Banana Escuela de Fútbol and the Messimaradona FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 23rd match minute, Banana Escuela de Fútbol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Daunte to maneuver through the defense. Aristides Duarte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jimeno Gervaso hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. A collision led to Messimaradona FC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Matias Valerio hit a great ball. In the 45th minute of the match, Aristides Duarte tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Oscar Tauro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aristides Duarte to make the kick off. In the 59th minute Banana Escuela de Fútbol were awarded a corner. Norberto Paio went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Banana Escuela de Fútbol's Norberto Paio to fire away a dangerous shot which Oscar Tauro despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Messimaradona FC's zone, Dionisio Virila stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Tauro came out of the goal and Dionisio Virila tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 76 minutes into the game, Dionisio Virila cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Oscar Tauro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 85 minutes, Pablo Quinteros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Banana Escuela de Fútbol's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pablo Quinteros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jimeno Gervaso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Placido Medina came free with the goalkeeper in the 88th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dante Bernad could save by the left post. If Aristides Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Banana Escuela de Fútbol fans cheered their team off the field, for while Messimaradona FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
