Csongor Pádár kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the game, Florencia's Jeremias Guillelme nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Baltasar Palban made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 13th minute of the match Orlando Ermengol sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Baltasar Palban skillfully saved the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Florencia's Efrain Botello sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Baltasar Palban narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Efrain Botello in the 17th minute of play forced Tacuara's goalkeeper Baltasar Palban to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Tacuara's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremias Guillelme came free, but Baltasar Palban reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ricardo Soter hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Jeremias Guillelme struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Baltasar Palban didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Florencia. A collision led to Florencia getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Silvano Gonzo hit a great ball. Abel Frutos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gustavo Tohias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Tacuara's Abel Frutos got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Csongor Pádár kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Tacuara's Ricardo Soter got a free kick in the 40th minute. Adriana Eyague took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 41st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Baltasar Palban. Tacuara's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tacuara's Baltasar Palban played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremias Guillelme in the 44th minute of play. When Domingos Gaizko came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Tacuara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Domingos Gaizko couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in Tacuara's zone, Jeremias Guillelme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baltasar Palban came out of the goal and Jeremias Guillelme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Efrain Botello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baltasar Palban made an important save on a dangerous shot by Efrain Botello in the 56th minute. After having played for 58 minutes, Abel Frutos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tacuara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abel Frutos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremias Guillelme in the 62nd minute of play forced Tacuara's goalkeeper Baltasar Palban to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gustavo Tohias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel Frutos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st minute, Efrain Botello ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Baltasar Palban was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 74th minute, Fulgencio Osoitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baltasar Palban was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jeremias Guillelme showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 76 minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Florencia's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Frutos came free, but Gustavo Tohias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Efrain Botello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Baltasar Palban was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Samuel Milian showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 85 minute of play. Abel Frutos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Gustavo Tohias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Tacuara's Domingos Gaizko in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Florencia's goalie prevented a goal. The Florencia supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Florencia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
