In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Consejo de Futbol Mundial's goalkeeper Gregorio Gregory, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rodrigo Txema hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Cláudio Gabriel missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 20 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Gregorio Gregory right hand side. Isaac Monico kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Consejo de Futbol Mundial's Gregorio Gregory played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lisandro Janpier in the 22nd minute of play. Consejo de Futbol Mundial's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 31 minutes, Ovidio Ihazintu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Consejo de Futbol Mundial and the Pumpun players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Consejo de Futbol Mundial's Ovidio Ihazintu got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 32nd minute of the match Cláudio Gabriel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gregorio Gregory showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Lisandro Janpier came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Pumpun fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lisandro Janpier couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lisandro Janpier in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gregorio Gregory saved Consejo de Futbol Mundial from getting behind. Gregorio Gregory took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel Cresconio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 41 minutes into the match, Consejo de Futbol Mundial's Maximiliano Bertran sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ove Klemensson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ambrosio Udalaitz struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Gregorio Gregory didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pumpun. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Lisandro Janpier's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gregorio Gregory read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. If Ambrosio Udalaitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lisandro Janpier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregorio Gregory having to interfere. Marcos Artaldo's late challenge caught a Pumpun's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcos Artaldo helped the player get up and apologised. Cláudio Gabriel took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gregorio Gregory. Consejo de Futbol Mundial's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Lisandro Janpier received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gregorio Gregory came out and tried to block the shot, but Lisandro Janpier slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 75th minute. After 83 played minutes Lisandro Janpier rounded Consejo de Futbol Mundial's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2. Ambrosio Udalaitz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Gregorio Gregory made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Consejo de Futbol Mundial's zone, Lisandro Janpier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gregorio Gregory came out of the goal and Lisandro Janpier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gregorio Gregory showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lisandro Janpier in the 94th minute of the match. Pumpun played a much better game than Consejo de Futbol Mundial and deserved their victory. The Consejo de Futbol Mundial players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
