If Bakary Sagna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Salvador San Martín stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Caño a Yepes's Andres Txaran got control of the ball when Bakary Sagna tried to sneak it across the goal line. Andres Txaran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bakary Sagna, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Andres Txaran came out of the goal and Octavio Gartxot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 69 minutes, Octavio Gartxot managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Crystal Palace's supporters crossed their fingers, but Octavio Gartxot was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Octavio Gartxot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Salvador San Martín received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Andres Txaran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Octavio Gartxot could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Andres Txaran made a huge save. When German Fortun came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Crystal Palace fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that German Fortun couldn't finish the play. Andres Txaran came out of the goal and Octavio Gartxot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Felix Tonete hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Andres Txaran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iker Iratxo in the 90th minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Crystal Palace's Octavio Gartxot dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Salvador San Martín received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Andres Txaran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Octavio Gartxot recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Crystal Palace played a much better game than Caño a Yepes and deserved their victory. The Caño a Yepes players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
