Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Leopoldo Hitz started the match with the kick off. When Ciriaco Quintan came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Saladas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciriaco Quintan couldn't finish the play. After having played for 4 minutes, Isidro Cordeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saladas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidro Cordeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Isidro Cordeiro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Hernan Lizbeth when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 19 minutes of play, Saladas FC's Ciriaco Quintan made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hernan Lizbeth was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hernan Lizbeth made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Ciriaco Quintan sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Saladas FC defense, Leopoldo Hitz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Conrado Gartzen. The Saladas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Conrado Gartzen should have stopped the shot. If Isidro Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Conrado Gartzen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leopoldo Hitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. If Maximiliano Balasi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute Isidro Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hernan Lizbeth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Conrado Gartzen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Hitz in the 45th minute of play.

51 minutes into the match, Saladas FC's goalkeeper Conrado Gartzen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Genaro Quentin. In the 56th minute Isidro Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hernan Lizbeth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isidro Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernan Lizbeth having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Saavedra FC's zone, Ciriaco Quintan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hernan Lizbeth came out of the goal and Ciriaco Quintan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hernan Lizbeth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidro Cordeiro in the 65th minute of the match. Leopoldo Hitz struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Conrado Gartzen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saavedra FC. After 72 minutes of play, Saladas FC's Ciriaco Quintan made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hernan Lizbeth was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 75th minute, Isidro Cordeiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hernan Lizbeth was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Ciriaco Quintan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernan Lizbeth having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Ciriaco Quintan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 93rd minute, Ciriaco Quintan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Saladas FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Saavedra FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
