But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jairo Min couldn't finish the play. The fair play fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when fair play's Jairo Min looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jairo Min got free with Lino Kimetz in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Merced defense, Jairo Min kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lino Kimetz. The Merced fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lino Kimetz should have stopped the shot. Merced's Lino Kimetz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Merced from getting a goal against them. 88 minutes into the game, Lino Lizbeth was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
