Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Elpidio Batista got the match started through his kick off. River Plate's Igor Bonifaco got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Filiberto Frasco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Facundo's supporters rose to their feet, but Filiberto Frasco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Humberto Gartxot breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alvaro Bide hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Igor Bonifaco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Teo Bikendi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 14 played minutes Facundo got a freekick which was hit by Esteve Magdaleno. In the 17thth minute of the game Celedonio Ponciano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but River Plate's Humberto Gartxot was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Humberto Gartxot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celedonio Ponciano in the 19th minute of play. When Alvaro Bide fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored River Plate's protests and gave Alvaro Bide a yellow card for diving instead. After 21 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Segundo Luzea. Artemio Romero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute, Celestino Lazcano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Teo Bikendi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 29 minutes into the match, Facundo's goal looked a bit too open when Celestino Lazcano came free, but Teo Bikendi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Humberto Gartxot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celedonio Ponciano in the 32nd minute of play. The supporters of Facundo booed when River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelio Velasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teo Bikendi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Celestino Lazcano's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Celestino Lazcano to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Celestino Lazcano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teo Bikendi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arsenio Sugar during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Laureano Manex took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 54th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Teo Bikendi. Humberto Gartxot dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. 65 minutes into the match, Facundo's Elpidio Batista sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Humberto Gartxot narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Facundo's zone, Celestino Lazcano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teo Bikendi came out of the goal and Celestino Lazcano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elpidio Batista's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Humberto Gartxot firmly grabbed it by the left post. Elpidio Batista struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Humberto Gartxot didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Facundo. After 75 played minutes Facundo got a freekick which was hit by Arsenio Sugar. After a rather tough play, River Plate's Serafin Milian got a free kick in the 77th minute. 82 minutes into the match, Celedonio Ponciano dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Humberto Gartxot, 1-3. When the match had been going on for 88 minutes, Facundo's Joaquin Maldonado got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Humberto Gartxot. In the 93rd minute of the match Freddy Matro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Teo Bikendi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 95th minute Celestino Lazcano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teo Bikendi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Humberto Gartxot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celedonio Ponciano in the 97th minute of play. In the 98th minute, Esteve Magdaleno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Celestino Lazcano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 100th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Facundo walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
