The referee ignored Paranay's protests and gave Adan Garaona a yellow card for diving instead. In the 2nd match minute, Paranay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adan Garaona to maneuver through the defense. 4 minutes into the game, one of Paranay:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 5th minute there was a penalty for Olascoaga. Celestino Clis stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving 龚斌磊. 0-1. Lorenzo Ubarna's late challenge caught a Paranay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lorenzo Ubarna helped the player get up and apologised. In the 12th match minute, Olascoaga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Ubarna to maneuver through the defense. Delmar Guillelmus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Segundo Maule tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Segundo Maule made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Daniel Criston sent off a good shot on target. Paranay's 龚斌磊 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niceto Emenon in the 22nd minute of play. Niceto Emenon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Celestino Clis charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Celestino Clis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 28th match minute, Olascoaga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celestino Clis to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Criston fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Segundo Maule having to interfere. Celestino Clis scored 0-2 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of 龚斌磊, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Freddy Jerrold received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Segundo Maule tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Segundo Maule was a little too slow when Delmar Guillelmus got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Delmar Guillelmus made a kick off. Celestino Clis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. 龚斌磊 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st match minute, Olascoaga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Urbano Bermudez to maneuver through the defense. Segundo Maule showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delmar Guillelmus in the 63rd minute of the match. Freddy Jerrold recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Omar Bordat charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Omar Bordat the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 67 played minutes Olascoaga got a freekick which was hit by Omar Bordat. It was beautiful to see Paranay's Silvano Aresti in action when he in the 69th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! After 70 minutes, Damian Iago mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Olascoaga and the Paranay players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Freddy Jerrold came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Paranay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Freddy Jerrold couldn't finish the play. Daniel Criston fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Segundo Maule having to interfere. A collision led to Olascoaga getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Omar Bordat hit a great ball. Celestino Clis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 龚斌磊 having to interfere. After having played for 84 minutes, Daniel Criston managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paranay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Criston was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Criston sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Paranay lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
