Ambrosio Gonzalez hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Tulumba FC's Elias Benat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicanor Txordon in the 33rd minute of play. Higinio Belmiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Elias Benat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Tulumba FC's zone, Nicanor Txordon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elias Benat came out of the goal and Nicanor Txordon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nicanor Txordon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elias Benat having to make a save. If Higinio Belmiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicanor Txordon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicanor Txordon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias Benat having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 76th minute of the game. One of C.Olimpo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tulumba FC:s goal. Esteban Reyes had in the 79thth minute some difficulties stopping Ignacio Millrick's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Nicanor Txordon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias Benat having to interfere. C.Olimpo were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
