Bernabe Galindo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Basilio Phelipe made a huge save. 27 minutes into the match, Joachim Cabanel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leopoldo Pelayo. PONTEVEDRA FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joachim Cabanel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Jacobo Ilixo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Basilio Phelipe made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Benicio Tolino sent off a good shot on target. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Celso Peruanton was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Bernabe Galindo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th minute, Nestor Romelio sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and PONTEVEDRA FC's Leopoldo Pelayo didn't even have to move.
