The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonas Gumaro got free with Benicio Oinatz in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Dionisio Maria managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blenders's supporters rose to their feet, but Dionisio Maria was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cipriano Ederono breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Felix Beltran kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benicio Oinatz. That made the score 1-0 in the 24 minute of play. Dionisio Maria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Blenders's Teo Bartolome got a free kick in the 32nd minute. When Maximiliano Lluterio fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Blenders's protests and gave Maximiliano Lluterio a yellow card for diving instead. After 37 played minutes Blenders got a freekick which was hit by Maximiliano Lluterio. Benicio Oinatz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Beltran in the 42nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Blenders defense, Jonas Gumaro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benicio Oinatz. The Blenders fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benicio Oinatz should have stopped the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Raimundo Seber made in the 85th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Raul Tiso however managed to control. Marcial Emenon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cipriano Ederono having to interfere. Teo Bartolome sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew the final whistle, Boca Juniors could leave the field as winners, despite Blenders having more of the ball for most of the match.
