Robustiano Orlo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severo Pudes in the 12th minute of play. 16 minutes into the game, Severo Pudes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Robustiano Orlo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pet Malta SC were furious when Uriel Fortun was red carded, 22 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robustiano Balendin got free with Bernardo Ritchie in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 31 played minutes Pet Malta SC got a freekick which was hit by Dag Löfkvist. Guaraní AFC's Gilberto Rafel couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Pet Malta SC. Robustiano Orlo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Siro Gartxot in the 37th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severo Pudes in the 39th minute of play forced Pet Malta SC's goalkeeper Robustiano Orlo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Robustiano Balendin came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Pet Malta SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robustiano Balendin couldn't finish the play. In the 44th minute, Robustiano Balendin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Inocencio Gergori's late challenge caught a Pet Malta SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 46th minute Victor Pitin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Ritchie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Guaraní AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pet Malta SC the free kick. Robustiano Orlo made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Severo Pudes sent off a good shot on target. Robustiano Balendin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 91st minute, Victor Pitin made a precise shot to the right of Bernardo Ritchie. Guaraní AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Victor Pitin during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Victor Pitin hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Siro Gartxot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Guaraní AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
