Lepra Sur's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Epifanio Rodriguez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Instituto Juniors were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Lepra Sur's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mauro Quinto took the corner. 29 minutes into the game, C. A. Instituto Juniors's Rolando Asur nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tobias Orlan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Celso Ferdinand sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tobias Orlan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Ferdinand in the 43rd minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aluísio Varela was the one to do the kick off. That made the score 0-5 in the 63 minute of play. A throw-in in the 75th minute of the game was made by Filip Psotka with Prudencio Ieltxu as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Tobias Orlan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prudencio Ieltxu, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Lepra Sur's Tobias Orlan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Lepra Sur from getting a goal against them.
