Instituto Juniors's Celso Ferdinand got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Celso Ferdinand had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Delmiro Astudillo made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Eustaquio Tadzio sent off a good shot on target. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mete y Raspa Jr's goalkeeper Florencio Bonifaco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

In the 51st match minute, C. A. Instituto Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaston Jusepe to maneuver through the defense. If Rolando Asur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rolando Asur could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Florencio Bonifaco made a huge save. Celso Ferdinand had several of the Mete y Raspa Jr's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 69 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-1 score and a disappointed Florencio Bonifaco as he didn't even see the shot coming. After 75 played minutes Mete y Raspa Jr got a freekick which was hit by Isidoro Guillen. Osvaldo Naldo hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Florencio Bonifaco made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Epifanio Rodriguez sent off a good shot on target. Gaston Jusepe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florencio Bonifaco having to interfere.
