The audience was convinced that Ramiro Distiratsu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ulises Clodio was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Roman Paz. If Wiliam de Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see La Salada lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
