After 7 played minutes, Domínguez's Joaquin Gorosti shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marco Palban came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Domínguez reached it. Marco Palban showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hipolito Jatsu, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. After 13 minutes of play, Domínguez's Hipolito Jatsu made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marco Palban was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 19th minute of the match Domingo Lekubegi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Godfredo Quirce showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Braulio Barrionuevo might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Godfredo Quirce. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Braulio Barrionuevo ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Rodolfo Polentzi managed to get in a good position for a shot. LoS ChiKoS DeL mAiZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodolfo Polentzi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Godfredo Quirce breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Domínguez's Angelino Herauso got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After recieving a nice pass, LoS ChiKoS DeL mAiZ's Nunez Fidele tried to score from far away in the 24th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Rodolfo Polentzi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Godfredo Quirce read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Braulio Barrionuevo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Godfredo Quirce skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Rodolfo Polentzi was extremely unlucky when he, in the 41st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Venancio Toribio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Palban having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hipolito Jatsu in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marco Palban saved LoS ChiKoS DeL mAiZ from getting behind. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hipolito Jatsu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Braulio Barrionuevo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godfredo Quirce having to interfere. If Braulio Barrionuevo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Venancio Toribio during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Venancio Toribio kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 69th minute Rodolfo Polentzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godfredo Quirce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st minute, Raul Bartoleme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Rodolfo Polentzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute Braulio Barrionuevo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godfredo Quirce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Venancio Toribio was shown his second yellow card after 83 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of LoS ChiKoS DeL mAiZ booed when Domínguez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venancio Toribio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Godfredo Quirce was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Domínguez players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented LoS ChiKoS DeL mAiZ from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
