Fernando Mikelats made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Nemesio Mannie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roman Obano, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Roman Obano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Nemesio Mannie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Roman Obano came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Tambillo AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roman Obano couldn't finish the play. Roman Obano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nemesio Mannie having to interfere. Nemesio Mannie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Chayo in the 74th minute of play. After 81 played minutes Tambillo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Chayo. After having played for 87 minutes, Arturo Chayo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tambillo AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arturo Chayo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Javier Sol's late challenge caught a chichipido's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Javier Sol helped the player get up and apologised. Javier Sol hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 93 minutes, the score became 5-1 when Roman Obano sped through chichipido's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nemesio Mannie. Flavio Roldanillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernando Mikelats read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 98th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Tambillo AFC had won after a very even match.
