Omar Cordearo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carolo Haritz, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Chimborazo F.C's Tiberiu Nicea got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidro Lando in the 18th minute of play forced Chimborazo F.C's goalkeeper Arqile Arquett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nestor Duarte hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, Omar Cordearo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 24th minute Chimborazo F.C were awarded a corner. Tiberiu Nicea went to the cornerflag to take it. Chimborazo F.C's Arqile Arquett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesus Rojelio in the 33rd minute of play. Carolo Haritz struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Omar Cordearo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chimborazo F.C. Omar Cordearo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carolo Haritz, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After some careless play in the Zapala defense, Carolo Haritz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Omar Cordearo. The Zapala fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Omar Cordearo should have stopped the shot. Arqile Arquett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paolo Jobo in the 43rd minute of the match. Tiberiu Nicea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Omar Cordearo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carolo Haritz was the one to do the kick off. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Chimborazo F.C fans cheered their team off the field, for while Zapala had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
