In the 25th minute Elias Fliz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariano Matia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of 9 de julio F.C booed when EL MESIAS II was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gualterio Gabirel didn't get a good kick on the ball. EL MESIAS II's Anastasio Itzaina got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lino Adrio struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind 9 de julio F.C's goalkeeper Constantino Txartiko, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

EL MESIAS II's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anastasio Itzaina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Justo Orain came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the EL MESIAS II fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Justo Orain couldn't finish the play. Constantino Txartiko didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lino Adrio went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anastasio Itzaina in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Constantino Txartiko saved 9 de julio F.C from getting behind. When the referee ended the match the EL MESIAS II players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
