After a defensive mix-up in EL MESIAS II's zone, Bernabe Peru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mariano Matia came out of the goal and Bernabe Peru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lino Adrio to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Leonardo Sancho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maco FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave EL MESIAS II the free kick.
