The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Melquiades Bento struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Eugenio Goi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Sin Iguales. After some careless play in the sherlok defense, Silverio Cordario kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eugenio Goi. The sherlok fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eugenio Goi should have stopped the shot. In the 13th match minute, sherlok was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacinto Bittencourt to maneuver through the defense. 15 minutes into the match, sherlok's goal looked a bit too open when Silverio Cordario came free, but Eugenio Goi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conrado Goito in the 17th minute of play forced sherlok's goalkeeper Eugenio Goi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Santiago Chayo came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the sherlok fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santiago Chayo couldn't finish the play. 23 minutes into the match, Santiago Chayo notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Los Sin Iguales's Bartolo Cuartio. Bartolo Cuartio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Melquiades Bento took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eugenio Goi. Eugenio Goi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After some careless play in the Los Sin Iguales defense, Santiago Chayo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bartolo Cuartio. The Los Sin Iguales fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bartolo Cuartio should have stopped the shot. Jacobo Ugaitz kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Bartolo Cuartio was a little too slow when Santiago Chayo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 3-2. Los Sin Iguales's Bartolo Cuartio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Los Sin Iguales from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Santiago Chayo was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Anastasio Kusko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Adrian Cordarin fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Sin Iguales's protests and gave Adrian Cordarin a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of sherlok booed when Los Sin Iguales was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Cordarin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute sherlok were awarded a corner. Marcos Charro went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Sin Iguales's goalkeeper Bartolo Cuartio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 66 played minutes Los Sin Iguales got a freekick which was hit by Conrado Goito. After 67 played minutes sherlok got a freekick which was hit by Rogelio Jerrald. Jacinto Bittencourt struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Bartolo Cuartio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for sherlok. If Santiago Chayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. sherlok's Jacinto Bittencourt got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 78 minutes, Conrado Goito mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Sin Iguales and the sherlok players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of sherlok booed when Los Sin Iguales was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conrado Goito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eugenio Goi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jacobo Ugaitz in the 80th minute. sherlok's Eugenio Goi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melquiades Bento in the 82nd minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, sherlok's Santiago Chayo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bartolo Cuartio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Los Sin Iguales getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Conrado Goito hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Silverio Cordario took a quick shot and it went in 4-3 without a chance for Eugenio Goi to make any attempt to save it.
