Tokio's Horacio Erruki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aldo Perico in the 6th minute of play. The supporters of Verdugos FC booed when Tokio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulino Gauargi didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ambrosio Calvino in the 9th minute of play forced Tokio's goalkeeper Horacio Erruki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute of the match Reynaldo Gartzea sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Horacio Erruki skillfully saved the ball. In the 16th match minute, Verdugos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Gartzea to maneuver through the defense. Tiburcio Felo kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Baltasar Demesio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Verdugos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Baltasar Demesio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Horacio Erruki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 37 minutes of play, Verdugos FC's Ambrosio Calvino made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Horacio Erruki was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 43rd match minute, Tokio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulino Gauargi to maneuver through the defense. Julian Eduino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 50th minute, Saturnino Abilio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Saverio Llin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Eduino in the 52nd minute of play. Reynaldo Gartzea hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Eduino in the 56th minute of play forced Verdugos FC's goalkeeper Saverio Llin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enrique Neto hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Horacio Erruki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltasar Demesio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Tokio getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Honorio Sotero hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Eduino in the 67th minute of play forced Verdugos FC's goalkeeper Saverio Llin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 80 played minutes Verdugos FC got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Gartzea. Julian Eduino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Saverio Llin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Enrique Neto fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tokio's protests and gave Enrique Neto a yellow card for diving instead. In the 98th minute Fabricio Corderall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Erruki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Verdugos FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Verdugos FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
