Danilo Elixio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Savas Kanonidis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Jimeno Veronica got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 26 minutes into the match, Rinconada AFC's Danilo Elixio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Savas Kanonidis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Andres Baladi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Savas Kanonidis having to interfere. After 30 played minutes, Rinconada AFC's Gaston Ayala shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Savas Kanonidis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rinconada AFC reached it. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Rinconada AFC's goalkeeper Angel Cordario, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, C.A. Nueva Chicago's Jimeno Veronica dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimeno Veronica in the 47th minute of play forced Rinconada AFC's goalkeeper Angel Cordario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Danilo Elixio to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Rinconada AFC's Leonides Furtado got a free kick in the 53rd minute. 58 minutes into the match, Elias Mogel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Angel Cordario. Rinconada AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elias Mogel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Savas Kanonidis made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Andres Baladi sent off a good shot on target. Jimeno Veronica's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Angel Cordario read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Elias Mogel took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Angel Cordario. Angel Cordario dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elias Mogel in the 76th minute of play forced Rinconada AFC's goalkeeper Angel Cordario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80thth minute of the game Jimeno Veronica who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rinconada AFC's Angel Cordario was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nueva Chicago was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luciano Txartiko didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to C.A. Nueva Chicago getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Isaias Galindo hit a great ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Rinconada AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for C.A. Nueva Chicago.
