In the 8th minute Arsenio Isauro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliseo Laurgain saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eliseo Laurgain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danilo Eate, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Americo Chabier kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Clúb Atletico Sarmiento defense, Americo Chabier kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eliseo Laurgain. The Clúb Atletico Sarmiento fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eliseo Laurgain should have stopped the shot. Isaac Fernandes might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eliseo Laurgain. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Isaac Fernandes ran back to his position shaking his head. 20 minutes into the match, Clúb Atletico Sarmiento's goal looked a bit too open when Danilo Eate came free, but Eliseo Laurgain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 20 played minutes Clúb Atletico Sarmiento got a freekick which was hit by Juan Paskal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Danilo Eate in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eliseo Laurgain saved Clúb Atletico Sarmiento from getting behind. Jonathan Odon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eliseo Laurgain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danilo Eate in the 29th minute of play. If Americo Chabier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute, Americo Chabier ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eliseo Laurgain was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Eliseo Laurgain came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Rusticos's Danilo Eate. But to his dismay, Danilo Eate quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Danilo Eate made a kick off. After 52 minutes of play, Rusticos's Arsenio Isauro made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eliseo Laurgain was left in no man's land by his defense there! 62 minutes into the match, Clúb Atletico Sarmiento's goal looked a bit too open when Americo Chabier came free, but Eliseo Laurgain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arsenio Isauro succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-5 in the 63rd playminute. 66 minutes into the game, Henk-Jan Okkes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Clúb Atletico Sarmiento's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rusticos the free kick. A collision led to Clúb Atletico Sarmiento getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Henk-Jan Okkes hit a great ball. Eliseo Laurgain showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danilo Eate in the 68th minute of the match. Eliseo Laurgain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Americo Chabier in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st play minute Arsenio Isauro came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Eliseo Laurgain. 0-6. Eliseo Laurgain made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arsenio Isauro in the 76th minute. In the 81st minute, Siro Garci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Clúb Atletico Sarmiento's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Americo Chabier 82 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-7. In the 88th minute, Arsenio Isauro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rusticos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. Danilo Eate could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Eliseo Laurgain made a huge save. Clúb Atletico Sarmiento's Henk-Jan Okkes managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Godofredo Azubeli in the 95 minute of the game. The Rusticos supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Rusticos would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
