The referee showed Zeledon Onofre the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 31stth minute of the game Cleto Patrido who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La Meresunda FC's Mateo Oinatz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mateo Oinatz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cleto Patrido, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mateo Oinatz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cleto Patrido in the 39th minute of the match. In the 43rd minute, Amador Ugaitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. RIVER PLATE UTD's Moises Piearres proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save RIVER PLATE UTD from getting a goal against them.

If Cleto Patrido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abelardo Gabirel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mateo Oinatz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cleto Patrido in the 56th minute of the match. Niceto Sugar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Mateo Oinatz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 58 played minutes La Meresunda FC got a freekick which was hit by Saverio Oinatz. Clodoveo Ferdinand blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Moises Piearres having to make a save. In the 65th minute, Adan Ladio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Generoso Calvino charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Generoso Calvino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mateo Oinatz had in the 83rdth minute some difficulties stopping Damian Maraman's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 85 minutes, Arsenio Quirce mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Meresunda FC and the RIVER PLATE UTD players grew even worse after the yellow card. La Meresunda FC's Clodoveo Ferdinand got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The La Meresunda FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while RIVER PLATE UTD had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
