Taquello's Humberto Sindo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pascual Tajo in the 53rd minute of play. Abelardo Mikelar was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 59th minute Eriberto Laurgain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusebio Oskarbi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Taquello fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Humberto Sindo should have stopped the shot. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Solari fans cheered their team off the field, for while Taquello had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
