Romeo Alvarez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Jairo Quintan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Emilio Salamon was shown his second yellow card after 47 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Romeo Alvarez made the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play, Huracan's Melchor Teodor made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jairo Quintan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dante Bortzaioriz's late challenge caught a Huracan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dante Bortzaioriz helped the player get up and apologised. When Martin Odilon fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Potrero FC's protests and gave Martin Odilon a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Potrero FC's Martin Odilon got a free kick in the 65th minute. After having played for 66 minutes, Cesar Matro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Huracan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cesar Matro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Potrero FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Vaino Artla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Huracan getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Roque Boniel hit a great ball. Jairo Quintan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melchor Teodor in the 81st minute of the match. Vaino Artla's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 83rdth minute, Melquiades Elixio skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Melchor Teodor came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Huracan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Melchor Teodor couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 89 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Melchor Teodor sped through Potrero FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jairo Quintan. When Huracan's Romeo Alvarez in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Potrero FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
