Benigno Guilabertus started the match with the kick off. Tiburcio Ruisko made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cirilo Blasi in the 5th minute. In the 9th minute Benigno Guilabertus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celestino Ascencio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A.A TROPIANI FC's Celestino Ascencio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benigno Guilabertus in the 13th minute of play. After 14 minutes, Timoteo Silviano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sportivo Palmadita F.C and the A.A TROPIANI FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Timoteo Silviano hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in A.A TROPIANI FC's zone, Timoteo Silviano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celestino Ascencio came out of the goal and Timoteo Silviano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience cheered when Mário Kempes's long shot passed Celestino Ascencio's right side. It was 1-2, 47 minutes into the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emilio Abar made a kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Joaquin Bernad cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Celestino Ascencio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário Kempes in the 56th minute of play forced A.A TROPIANI FC's goalkeeper Celestino Ascencio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benigno Guilabertus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celestino Ascencio having to interfere. A throw-in in the 59th minute of the game was made by Epifanio Tallia with Arnulfo Henrico as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Benigno Guilabertus blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Celestino Ascencio having to make a save. Sportivo Palmadita F.C's Benigno Guilabertus got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 66th minute, Benigno Guilabertus reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Celestino Ascencio. The goal made the score 1-4. Mário Kempes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celestino Ascencio having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benigno Guilabertus in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Celestino Ascencio saved A.A TROPIANI FC from getting behind. Sportivo Palmadita F.C's Timoteo Silviano got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Benigno Guilabertus put it in 1-5 from a short distance just to the right of Celestino Ascencio. 86 minutes into the game, Epifanio Tallia threw the ball into play from the sideline. Sportivo Palmadita F.C's Silvestre Oihenarte quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 87 minutes, Benigno Guilabertus made it 1-7 with a short kick to the right side. A.A TROPIANI FC's Celestino Ascencio tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Celestino Ascencio came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Sportivo Palmadita F.C's Benigno Guilabertus. But to his dismay, Benigno Guilabertus quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-8. Celestino Ascencio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benigno Guilabertus in the 96th minute of the match. A hard shot 98 in the game by Benigno Guilabertus from a close distance when the talented Celestino Ascencio managed to make a qualified save. A.A TROPIANI FC's players were relieved. Sportivo Palmadita F.C's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
