The Ombucta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 14thth minute of the game Eloy Medina who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Palmitas's Freddy Laffitte was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 16th minute of the match Ildefonso Intxixu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Freddy Laffitte skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Ombucta's Ildefonso Intxixu got a free kick in the 18th minute. Freddy Laffitte didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eloy Medina went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. When Ombucta's Eloy Medina in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Palmitas's goalie prevented a goal. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eloy Medina to make the kick off. Freddy Laffitte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eloy Medina, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 55th minute of the match, Eloy Medina got a very nice opportunity to score, but Freddy Laffitte was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Clemente Amaya recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eloy Medina's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 66thth minute, Freddy Laffitte skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 67 minutes into the game, Marciano Sergi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palmitas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ombucta the free kick. In the 67th minute, Marciano Sergi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eloy Medina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Freddy Laffitte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eloy Medina who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Freddy Laffitte when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Freddy Laffitte made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Eloy Medina sent off a good shot on target. 82 minutes into the match, Palmitas's goalkeeper Freddy Laffitte had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eloy Medina. Freddy Laffitte was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Adem Boften showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 86 minute of play. Eloy Medinas short, quick shot in the 89thth minute got Freddy Laffitte to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Domingos Madaleno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddy Laffitte having to interfere. When the match was over Ombucta could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Palmitas throughout the match.
