Ildefonso Benat didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Excursionistas. In the 11th minute Amadeo Fix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ildefonso Benat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Zeledon Vincente took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Paul Bucur to make any attempt to save it. Paul Bucur made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Vladimiro Ederono sent off a good shot on target. From a short distance, Picapiedras F.C's Zeledon Vincente, in the 17th minute, tried to place the ball behind Paul Bucur, but the ball hit the right post on the wrong side and went out. Vladimiro Ederono could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Paul Bucur made a huge save. The supporters of Excursionistas booed when Picapiedras F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zeledon Vincente didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joaquin Rito took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ildefonso Benat. Picapiedras F.C's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Excursionistas's Paul Bucur proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Excursionistas from getting a goal against them. In the 27th minute, Vladimiro Ederono ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paul Bucur was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Excursionistas's Amadeo Fix got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 39 minutes into the game, Vladimiro Ederono recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Paul Bucur. Vladimiro Ederono showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. 43 minutes into the match, Picapiedras F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Artur Piekarczyk came free, but Ildefonso Benat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Excursionistas's goal looked a bit too open when Zeledon Vincente came free, but Paul Bucur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Vincente in the 55th minute of play forced Excursionistas's goalkeeper Paul Bucur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zeledon Vincente took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paul Bucur. Paul Bucur dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Veronica in the 68th minute of play forced Excursionistas's goalkeeper Paul Bucur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes into the game, Picapiedras F.C's Zeledon Vincente nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paul Bucur made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. 76 minutes into the game, Zeledon Vincente cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-1. Paul Bucur was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vladimiro Ederono sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paul Bucur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeledon Vincente, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Paul Bucur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Veronica in the 86th minute of the match. Paul Bucur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimiro Ederono in the 90th minute of play. After 91 minutes, Celedonio Olo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Excursionistas and the Picapiedras F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Picapiedras F.C fully deserved thier win.
