Seating: 1642, VIP seats: 7) Siro Leocadio made the kick off and thus started the match. If Lucas Sanchez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Santiago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lucas Sanchez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Betadur having to interfere. Ernesto Etxeberri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 17 minutes into the match, Progresso's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Etxeberri came free, but Benjamin Betadur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18thth minute of the game Lucas Sanchez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Progresso's Benjamin Betadur was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Palermo booed when Progresso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Siro Leocadio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucas Sanchez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benjamin Betadur read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Palermo's Gogo Maxin got a free kick in the 25th minute. Progresso's Benjamin Betadur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Etxeberri in the 29th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Paulo Santiago left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palermo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 39th minute, Lucas Sanchez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 46 minutes into the match, Palermo's Rolando Frasco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benjamin Betadur narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lucas Sanchez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benjamin Betadur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Sanchez in the 60th minute of play. Benjamin Betadur came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Palermo's Ernesto Etxeberri. But to his dismay, Ernesto Etxeberri quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Gaspar Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Benjamin Betadur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benjamin Betadur made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ernesto Etxeberri in the 68th minute. Guillermo Salvator hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Benjamin Betadur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Santiago in the 76th minute of play. Gaspar Ramos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gaspar Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Benjamin Betadur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Progresso's goalkeeper Benjamin Betadur, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Ramiro Francis fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Progresso's protests and gave Ramiro Francis a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Progresso's Ramiro Francis got a free kick in the 85th minute. Lucas Sanchez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Lucas Sanchez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benjamin Betadur was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. When Ruben Dominix fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Progresso's protests and gave Ruben Dominix a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Progresso getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Ruben Dominix hit a great ball. Lucas Sanchez got in the 92nd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Benjamin Betadur handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. When the match was over Palermo could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Progresso throughout the match.
