The crowd rose to their feet as Cornelio Ascencio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cesar Monte. That made the score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. Americo Lucian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elvio Txema in the 13th minute of play. Maximiliano Raymundo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Americo Lucian having to interfere. Americo Lucian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elvio Txema in the 20th minute of the match. When Mazatlán CF's Cornelio Ascencio in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Fermin Gonzales kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Elvio Txema took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Americo Lucian. Americo Lucian dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Severo Rios managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mazatlán CF's supporters rose to their feet, but Severo Rios was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cesar Monte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Mazatlán CF's Cornelio Ascencio got a free kick in the 37th minute. Ivan Ignatius hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Lepotivase's Benjamin Urtsua couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 40th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Mazatlán CF. A collision led to Mazatlán CF getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Fabian Abeitia hit a great ball. Cesar Monte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cornelio Ascencio in the 44th minute of play. Cesar Monte stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cornelio Ascencio's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elvio Txema made a kick off. Cesar Monte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornelio Ascencio in the 52nd minute of the match. Lepotivase's Elvio Txema got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Mazatlán CF's Americo Lucian got control of the ball when Maximiliano Raymundo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cesar Monte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornelio Ascencio in the 60th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Fabian Abeitia put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Cesar Monte. Americo Lucian came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Lepotivase's Maximiliano Raymundo. But to his dismay, Maximiliano Raymundo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Cornelio Ascencio got in the 69th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Cesar Monte handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. 76 minutes into the match, Mazatlán CF's Cornelio Ascencio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cesar Monte narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fabian Abeitia struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Cesar Monte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mazatlán CF. Lepotivase's Cesar Monte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornelio Ascencio in the 91st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Fabian Abeitia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cesar Monte was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Lepotivase's Cesar Monte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornelio Ascencio in the 94th minute of play.
