Fabian Abeitia kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. 16 minutes into the game, Mauricio Sendoa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guadajoa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mazatlán CF the free kick. The supporters of Mazatlán CF booed when Guadajoa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauricio Sendoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Froilan Hats fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Americo Lucian having to interfere. After 21 minutes, Fabian Abeitia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mazatlán CF and the Guadajoa players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 21st minute, Fabian Abeitia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Sebastian Manni fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guadajoa's protests and gave Sebastian Manni a yellow card for diving instead. In the 27th match minute, Guadajoa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Manni to maneuver through the defense. Froilan Hats struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Americo Lucian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guadajoa. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Cornelio Ascencio took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Wilfredo Dabi to make any attempt to save it. In the 36th minute Cornelio Ascencio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilfredo Dabi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilfredo Dabi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabian Abeitia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Americo Lucian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Nastasio in the 44th minute of the match. Guadajoa's Wilfredo Dabi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornelio Ascencio in the 46th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cornelio Ascencio was the one to do the kick off. Guadajoa's Wilfredo Dabi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Abeitia in the 57th minute of play. Wilfredo Dabi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cornelio Ascencio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Mazatlán CF's Fermin Gonzales in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Guadajoa's goalie prevented a goal. After 75 minutes Guadajoa's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Claudio Endura who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Fermin Gonzales got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Wilfredo Dabi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Guadajoa's Wilfredo Dabi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornelio Ascencio in the 79th minute of play. After 80 minutes, Fermin Gonzales mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mazatlán CF and the Guadajoa players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Fabian Abeitia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Guadajoa's Mauricio Sendoa got a free kick in the 90th minute. After 92 played minutes Mazatlán CF got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Abeitia. Mazatlán CF's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
