When Ernesto Astudillo came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Copacabana AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernesto Astudillo couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Aristides Ekaitz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adan Tipi was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Jacobo Turi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Copacabana AFC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Ermegildo Tuste hit a great ball. Alfonso Osmundo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Adan Tipi. Copacabana AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Aristides Ekaitz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Capdeville FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aristides Ekaitz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adan Tipi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ermegildo Tuste hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute of the match Maximino Bemabe shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adan Tipi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Capdeville FC booed when Copacabana AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Desiderio Malvin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aristides Ekaitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Adan Tipi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aristides Ekaitz struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Adan Tipi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Capdeville FC. Copacabana AFC's Adan Tipi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacobo Turi in the 48th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After 58 played minutes Capdeville FC got a freekick which was hit by Clodoveo Ibañez. If Jacobo Turi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aristides Ekaitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adan Tipi having to interfere. Venancio Lohitzun took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcos Iratzeder. Marcos Iratzeder dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. A well placed Aristides Ekaitz short distance shot in the 74th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. In the 79th minute Aristides Ekaitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adan Tipi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Ernesto Astudillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcos Iratzeder was relentless in the 88th minute of the game.
