Cangallo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo FC the free kick. If Jacobo Piarres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Cangallo getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Rafal Lichorobiec hit a great ball. Isidoro Orkatz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lisandro George made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Sarracino in the 26th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herminio Baldovino in the 27th minute of play forced Cangallo's goalkeeper Enzo Tristan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Deportivo FC booed when Cangallo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sergio Lain didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernardino Frederico hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Lisandro George made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damazy Duda in the 36th minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Deportivo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremias Sarracino came free, but Lisandro George reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute Erasmo Aimar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lisandro George saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Cangallo booed when Deportivo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Generoso Rencio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

55 minutes into the match, Deportivo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Damazy Duda came free, but Lisandro George reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Cangallo's Sergio Lain got a free kick in the 56th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jacobo Piarres got free with Enzo Tristan in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 63 played minutes Cangallo got a freekick which was hit by Zygmunt Gargasz. After having played for 67 minutes, Herminio Baldovino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Herminio Baldovino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Enzo Tristan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herminio Baldovino in the 72nd minute of play. In the 80th minute, Jacobo Piarres made a precise shot to the right of Enzo Tristan. Cangallo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After 83 played minutes Deportivo FC got a freekick which was hit by Bernardino Frederico. Enzo Tristan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Generoso Rencio, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 93rd minute Jacobo Piarres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enzo Tristan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Deportivo FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Deportivo FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
