Angelo Atauri missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 17 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Evelio Gaxan right hand side. 19 minutes into the match, Club Sportivo Desamparado's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Foro came free, but Evelio Gaxan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabian Foro in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Evelio Gaxan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Evelio Gaxan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabian Foro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silvio Bilbo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silvio Bilbo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Laureano Elija tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Club Sportivo Desamparado's Silvio Bilbo got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Ambrosio Peyo fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pintos's protests and gave Ambrosio Peyo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 39th match minute, Pintos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ambrosio Peyo to maneuver through the defense. Club Sportivo Desamparado's Evelio Gaxan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Foro in the 41st minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Fabian Foro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabian Foro was the one to do the kick off. Desiderio Ospin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabian Foro ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Fabian Foro almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Club Sportivo Desamparado's Evelio Gaxan did a great save. In the 66th match minute, Pintos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melchor Vincent to maneuver through the defense. Fabian Foro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 75 in the game by Desiderio Ospin from a close distance when the talented Evelio Gaxan managed to make a qualified save. Club Sportivo Desamparado's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Foro in the 77th minute of play forced Club Sportivo Desamparado's goalkeeper Evelio Gaxan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gregorio Quiroga hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Club Sportivo Desamparado's Evelio Gaxan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Club Sportivo Desamparado from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Club Sportivo Desamparado's zone, Desiderio Ospin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evelio Gaxan came out of the goal and Desiderio Ospin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Evelio Gaxan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Foro, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The Club Sportivo Desamparado fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Pintos were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
