Leon Bautista breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 16th match minute, Villalonga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erasmo Castulo to maneuver through the defense. Liceo Naval Fc's Simon Beliran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erasmo Castulo in the 32nd minute of play. Villalonga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Siro Sergi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Siro Sergi in the 67th minute of play forced Liceo Naval Fc's goalkeeper Simon Beliran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Eustaquio Kiliz fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
