Jaime Joanes came out of the goal and Irinel Novăceanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adolfo Guilabertus's late challenge caught a Monteagudo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adolfo Guilabertus helped the player get up and apologised. After 21 played minutes Rosas AFC got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Guilabertus. 22 minutes into the match, Irinel Novăceanu notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Rosas AFC's Jaime Joanes. Jaime Joanes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With his leg Jaime Joanes managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when Monteagudo's Irinel Novăceanu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 29 minutes, Irinel Novăceanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monteagudo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Irinel Novăceanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 36 played minutes Monteagudo got a freekick which was hit by Alonzo Flor. Irinel Novăceanu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jaime Joanes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Irinel Novăceanu in the 42nd minute of play forced Rosas AFC's goalkeeper Jaime Joanes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 51st minute, Casimiro Aballe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ceferino Abella struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Jaime Joanes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monteagudo. Jaime Joanes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Irinel Novăceanu in the 60th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, Irinel Novăceanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jaime Joanes. Rosas AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Irinel Novăceanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Jaime Joanes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Irinel Novăceanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Teodoro Enetz in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jaime Joanes saved Rosas AFC from getting behind. Jaime Joanes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Irinel Novăceanu in the 71st minute of the match. The supporters of Rosas AFC booed when Monteagudo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tadeo Paz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 74 played minutes Monteagudo got a freekick which was hit by Teodoro Enetz. After 75 minutes, Agustin Pirmin mouthed his way into the referee's book. Monteagudo's supporters rose to their feet, but Ceferino Abella was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jaime Joanes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Omar Estevez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Ambrosio Sugar made a huge save.
