Alberto Hori fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalmacio Fagondo having to interfere. Ciro Tiniebra's late challenge caught a Pelicurá's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ciro Tiniebra helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Pelicurá booed when Antinaco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Tiniebra didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 21 played minutes, Pelicurá's Evelio Izotz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dalmacio Fagondo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pelicurá reached it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Hori in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dalmacio Fagondo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Alberto Hori sped through Antinaco's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dalmacio Fagondo. Pelicurá's Erasmo Dorrego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Braulio Filipo in the 30th minute of play. After 31 minutes, Emanuel Beat mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pelicurá and the Antinaco players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 31st minute, Emanuel Beat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dalmacio Fagondo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Higinio Ostadar's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. The audience was convinced that Alberto Hori's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dalmacio Fagondo was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. After the first half Pelicurá were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After having played for 54 minutes, Alberto Hori managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pelicurá's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Hori was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dalmacio Fagondo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Angel Iztal showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 58 minute of play. Dalmacio Fagondo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alberto Hori's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Erasmo Dorrego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Girkantas Asauskas, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 76th minute Angel Iztal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dalmacio Fagondo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Hori sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dalmacio Fagondo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Hori in the 79th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Alberto Hori ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dalmacio Fagondo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Horacio Beltza charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Horacio Beltza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 87 played minutes Antinaco got a freekick which was hit by Horacio Beltza. Alberto Hori took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dalmacio Fagondo. Dalmacio Fagondo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. If Braulio Filipo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celedonio Joanes hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. In the last second Dalmacio Fagondo throw himself and got hold of the ball when Alberto Hori in the 97thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post.
