The audience thought a goal was coming when Romulo Peter got free with Cosme Pepillo in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cornelio Urtsin in the 20th minute of play forced Colón FC's goalkeeper Constantino Reyes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cosme Pepillo made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Romulo Peter sent off a good shot on target. With 27 minutes on the clock, Isaias Lorencio commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The supporters of Isoquí AFC booed when Colón FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position.
