Club Atlético Colón's Andres Paulin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Quiroga in the 3rd minute of play. Virgilio Rodas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 11th minute, Lino Arlo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andres Paulin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ubaldo Matai, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Andres Paulin came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by República de Arroyito FC's Clemente Janpier. But to his dismay, Clemente Janpier quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The supporters of Club Atlético Colón booed when República de Arroyito FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Quiroga didn't get a good kick on the ball. 36 minutes into the match, República de Arroyito FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elvio Bibiano came free, but Leonel Feliu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andres Paulin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ubaldo Matai in the 41st minute of the match. After 42 played minutes Club Atlético Colón got a freekick which was hit by Elvio Bibiano. Andres Paulin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hector Quiroga went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Chap got free with Andres Paulin in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hector Quiroga received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Andres Paulin came out and tried to block the shot, but Hector Quiroga slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 55th minute. In the 60th minute Hector Quiroga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andres Paulin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejo Panfilo in the 62nd minute of play forced Club Atlético Colón's goalkeeper Andres Paulin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Virgilio Rodas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Feliu having to interfere. Alvaro Hitzeder kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Andres Paulin made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Cristian Chap sent off a good shot on target. Andres Paulin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hector Quiroga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 79 minutes into the match, Hector Quiroga dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Andres Paulin, 2-4. The supporters of Club Atlético Colón booed when República de Arroyito FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvaro Hitzeder didn't get a good kick on the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Colón's goalkeeper Andres Paulin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clemente Janpier. In the 93rd match minute, Club Atlético Colón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernan Saturnin to maneuver through the defense.
