Godfredo Guzman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlos Baladi having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Godfredo Guzman in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Baladi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romeo Uzuri in the 38th minute of play forced Hormiguero's goalkeeper Carlos Baladi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jesus Gartzen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Hormiguero's Faustino Goren got a free kick in the 51st minute. The supporters of La Cantera del Oeste booed when Hormiguero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jesus Gartzen didn't get a good kick on the ball. La Cantera del Oeste's Sergio Baldovino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faustino Goren in the 85th minute of play. Carlos Baladi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godfredo Guzman, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Godfredo Guzmans short, quick shot in the 89thth minute got Carlos Baladi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Godfredo Guzman who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 90thth minute tested the skills of Carlos Baladi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The Hormiguero fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. La Cantera del Oeste were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
