The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Anacleto Esdras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 10th minute, Anacleto Esdras ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Natalio Aurre was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Sergio Baldovino made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Elias Berriotxoa sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Godfredo Guzman put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Natalio Aurre. Emilio Bela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 20 minutes into the game, Felix Gai recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sergio Baldovino. Felix Gai showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Candioti FC's zone, Anacleto Esdras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Natalio Aurre came out of the goal and Anacleto Esdras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Godfredo Guzman might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Natalio Aurre. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Godfredo Guzman ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 30thth minute of the game Godfredo Guzman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Candioti FC's Natalio Aurre was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Godfredo Guzman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natalio Aurre having to interfere. A collision led to Candioti FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Silvestre Ignado hit a great ball. Godfredo Guzman scored 1-3 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Natalio Aurre, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Godfredo Guzman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Natalio Aurre was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Amadeo Nofre hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After the first half La Cantera del Oeste were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Godfredo Guzman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Natalio Aurre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Godfredo Guzman did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-4 to the left of a surprised Natalio Aurre 55 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute of the game, Elias Berriotxoa landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 59 minutes, Ubaldo Mogel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Cantera del Oeste and the Candioti FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ubaldo Mogel hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Anacleto Esdras managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Cantera del Oeste's supporters rose to their feet, but Anacleto Esdras was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Natalio Aurre breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Godfredo Guzman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. La Cantera del Oeste's Anacleto Esdras got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Natalio Aurre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anacleto Esdras, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Natalio Aurre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godfredo Guzman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 78th play minutes Godfredo Guzman shot 1-5, a short shot which went by Natalio Aurre and just under the crossbar into goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Godfredo Guzman kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Natalio Aurre. That made the score 1-6 in the 81 minute of play. Natalio Aurre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Bela, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ezequiel Vigil in the 86th minute of play forced Candioti FC's goalkeeper Natalio Aurre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 92 minutes into the match, Candioti FC's goalkeeper Natalio Aurre had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Godfredo Guzman. 93 minutes into the match, La Cantera del Oeste's Emilio Bela sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Natalio Aurre narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Godfredo Guzmans short, quick shot in the 94thth minute got Natalio Aurre to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With his leg Natalio Aurre managed to avoid a goal in the 96thth minute, when La Cantera del Oeste's Godfredo Guzman fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The Candioti FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. La Cantera del Oeste were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
