Cornelio Tomi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paolo Papo in the 16th minute of play. When Chalicán's Raul Joseph in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye MORENO's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, Chalicán's Ovidio Polentzi got control of the ball when Melchor Toro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cornelio Tomi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raul Joseph in the 30th minute of play. The supporters of Chalicán booed when MORENO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldo Rafe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Melchor Toro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Ovidio Polentzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd match minute, MORENO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo Rafe to maneuver through the defense. 46 minutes into the game, Raul Joseph cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Cornelio Tomi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nestor Nabar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the MORENO defense, Justino Urtsua kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cornelio Tomi. The MORENO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cornelio Tomi should have stopped the shot. Cesar Leocadio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Chalicán's zone, Melchor Toro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ovidio Polentzi came out of the goal and Melchor Toro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 72nd minute, Cesar Leocadio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Cesar Leocadio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to MORENO getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Melchor Toro hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raul Joseph got free with Cornelio Tomi in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The MORENO fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Chalicán were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
