Arnaldo Cordeara was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Julio Admon showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 9 minute of play. Feliberto Mergildo came free with the goalkeeper in the 12th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Arnaldo Cordeara could save by the left post. In the 14th match minute, POLLO F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 史枫桦 to maneuver through the defense. After 15 minutes, Ruben Guipuzkoa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the POLLO F.C. and the Newells Old Boys players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Newells Old Boys booed when POLLO F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruben Guipuzkoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnaldo Cordeara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Txanton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 28 played minutes POLLO F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Soares. POLLO F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Julio Admon scored to the left of an out of position Arnaldo Cordeara, making the score, 3-2. The supporters of POLLO F.C. booed when Newells Old Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zacarias Mino didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ruben Guipuzkoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

In the 52nd minute Martin Admon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaldo Cordeara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anastasio Macerio took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnaldo Cordeara. Arnaldo Cordeara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. Julio Admon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo Cordeara having to interfere. Gaudencio Selmo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 69 minutes into the game, Newells Old Boys's Anastasio Macerio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnaldo Cordeara made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-2. 74 minutes into the match, POLLO F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Gavino Valiente came free, but Arnaldo Cordeara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnaldo Cordeara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julio Admon in the 75th minute of play. With a little luck, Newells Old Boys's Desiderio Estevez got control of the ball when Gaudencio Selmo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 78th minute, Anastasio Macerio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 81st minute, Julio Admon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnaldo Cordeara was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-2. Newells Old Boys's Desiderio Estevez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Newells Old Boys from getting a goal against them. Arnaldo Cordeara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julio Admon in the 87th minute of play. 88 minutes into the game, Newells Old Boys's Anastasio Macerio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnaldo Cordeara made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-2. Orlando Soares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Desiderio Estevez made a huge save.
